Kibou no Gakkou supports legally recognized refugees residing in Japan who are seeking structured preparation for education, vocational development, and employment pathways.

If you are a recognized refugee living in Japan and would like support in building skills and long-term stability, we welcome your application.

Who Is Eligible

To apply for support, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You are legally recognized as a refugee by the Government of Japan
  • You are currently residing in Japan with valid legal status
  • You are seeking structured preparation for education, training, or employment
  • You are willing to participate in assessment and counselling sessions

Please note:

Kibou no Gakkou can only accept applications from individuals who have legal residency status in Japan. We are unable to provide services to individuals who are residing in Japan without legal authorization.

What We Offer

Kibou no Gakkou provides structured, staged support that may include:

Individual assessment and counselling

Language readiness guidance

Skills and vocational pathway preparation

Orientation to certification systems

Support navigating educational and employment frameworks

Placement in programs is based on assessment outcomes, readiness level, and available capacity.

How the Process Works

Submit an Application

Complete the online inquiry form and provide required documentation.

Initial Review

Our team reviews eligibility and confirms legal status.

Assessment & Counselling

Eligible applicants are invited for an assessment session to understand skills, goals, and readiness.

Program Placement

If suitable, applicants are placed into appropriate preparation pathways based on capacity and alignment.
Participation is structured and coordinated. Admission is not automatic and depends on program availability.

Required Documentation

Applicants must be prepared to provide, if available:

  • Proof of recognized refugee status in Japan
  •  Valid residence documentation
  • Basic identification documents
  • Educational certificates, diplomas, transcripts, or training records (if available)
  •  Employment records or professional certificates (if relevant)

We understand that some applicants may not have access to all documents. Applications may still be considered where supporting documentation is incomplete.
